WRWC 2025
The Brief
The women’s game had been making big strides in recent years and after a few years of there being a requirement for clear separation from the men, creatively, the season leading into the tournament there had been a call to unite the brands. Now we were tasked with taking it up a level for the show-piece event, while keeping in line with the season’s brand, also factoring in that only images of players in non-sponsored kit could be used and all sponsor branding within the composition had to be removed.
The Insight
Having moved the women inline with the men’s brand using the Shamline and Triskele properties we’d created that were at the heart of it, we wanted to add a little excitement, which we did with the lightening burst element and a brighter shade of green which added some punch to the brand, particularly in animated elements. We also used it within the background to further differentiate from the standard season brand. We evolved some elements that we’d used earlier in the season for the Six Nations by adding more depth and also creating new content opportunities around match day.
The Results
The branding was well received by supporters and client alike. It also had a positive effect within the camp as players appreciated the coverage and treatment they were now getting. The traffic figures continued to grow throughout the tournament and beyond.
