With the British & Irish Lions having transferred to Australia, Grip have been busy putting the finishing touches to the constant stream of creative being sent down under to deck out the various Official Tour events from VIP Dinners to Lions Den Village backdrops. In Melbourne we even had the Manic Street Preachers performing in front of one of our graphics!

The British & Irish Lions tour officially got underway with the first game against the Barbarians in Hong Kong this weekend. We produced over 1,000 metres worth of branding for the Official Supporter events, and that’s not including the re-jig after the venue was changed last minute following a monsoon-like downpour with the re-designed branding having to be flown in to its new destination.

Following on from our recent success on the HSBC Legends of Lions Series, Grip were appointed to relaunch the Lions year phase of Official British & Irish Travel Company, Lions Rugby Travel’s 2013 campaign to signify that it was finally time to get excited as the countdown to 2013 and the tour had finally come around.
Under the strict British & Irish Lions creative guidelines we came up with the countdown concept ‘It’s 2013/TIME’ which, in digital animated format started as ‘It’s TIME’ before the spools rotated to spell ‘TIME’.
The campaign was used in both print and digital format and was well received by both client and consumers with sales increasing and spiking upon commencement.

After moving into our new offices in Swiss Cottage we set to work on creating our dream reception area. With various sporting paraphanalia either on order or already ready and waiting in the wings we set about getting our wooden sports floor installed and then set about marking it up for the sports markings after mocking it up in illustrator with professional measurements and a hint of artistic license. adsense protection search expired domains Armed with a ball of string, chalk a variety of sports marking tape and a sports marking roller we rolled up our sleeves and got down to business.
Several hours, and several hundred more expletives, later our masterpiece was complete!
Next it was time to move in our sports lockers, changing room bench (secured from London 2012) a host of signed sports shirts and balls, a swimming clock, basket ball hoop, table football and some floodlights and we were all done (for now).
